RockBare wines are sourced entirely from McLaren Vale, a temperate maritime climate of warm sunny days and cool nights, hot dry summers and cool wet winters. This region possesses the ideal conditions for growing world-class grapes. Winemaker Tim Burvill completed his Honours degree in Oenology at the University of Adelaide. Tim was pursued then employed by Southcorp and travelled throughout the wine regions of Australia, working with some of the best winemakers in the country.

After 2 years Tim was working for Penfolds winery in the Barossa Valley, in this position he was responsible for super-premium white wines, winning several gold medals. RockBare is the result of Tim's retreat from the corporate arena into an independent venture. His straight forward, low-intervention winemaking techniques are producing wine with pure varietal definition and intense fruit character.
